Tempera, Tempé-what? Your frequently asked questions!

Tempera, Tempé-what?

At Tempera, we make gourmet non-alcoholic drinks. Every recipe is unique and mixes different ingredients: plants, fruits, spices or flowers, to find the perfect balance of flavours. Enough to surprise your taste buds from the first sip!

Who is at the origin of the project? What do our drinks taste like? Are there grapes in our recipes? Is this dealcoholized wine? In short, what is Tempera?

We answer all your questions in this article ! 👇

Who came up with the recipes?

The recipes for our blends were designed by starred chef Mauro Colagreco. Originally from Argentina and now based on the French Riviera, he pays homage to this Mediterranean region in his cuisine. A tireless creator, he wanted to imagine recipes for gourmet non-alcoholic drinks, to be enjoyed alone or with dishes.

How was this project born? ?

Mauro Colagreco looked for someone to make this ambitious project a reality. The meeting with Arielle Bove, co-founder of Tempera, allowed these recipes to be bottled.

Is Tempera dealcoholized wine ?

There are no grapes, no wine, or dealcoholization processes in our products. Each recipe is composed of a unique blend of ingredients – flowers, fruits, plants, spices – which gives it a unique aromatic profile, very different from that of wine. Our objective is to surprise you and help you discover new things!

Is there alcohol in Tempera ?

Our still blends naturally contain 0.0% alcohol: these recipes are based on infusions, a process which does not generate any alcohol creation. Our sparkling blends, on the other hand, are lightly fermented, like kombuchas: they therefore contain a residual alcohol level of less than 0,09 or 0,05%.

When to drink Tempera?

When you want!  We have designed our blends to accompany you in all your moments of conviviality. On a terrace after a yoga class, as an aperitif on the weekend, to have a drink while cooking after a long day during the week, to accompany a dish or offer to friends who invite you to dinner, but also on the occasion of a party or celebration: we have bubbles and colors for you to taste.
