Ingredients (serves 6):

> For the orange delight
  • 5 oranges
  • 1 tablespoon of maraschino or kirsch
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 30 cl of water
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
> For the whipped cream
  • 200g of liquid cream
  • 20g of icing sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of orange liqueur
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon

1 - Squeeze the oranges, taking care not to damage the peel. Reserve the juice. Carefully remove the peel from the orange halves and set aside.

2 – Dilute the cornstarch with a little water. Add the orange juice, maraschino, sugar and 20cl of water . Pour everything into a saucepan and cook until the mixture thickens.

3 – Pour the mixture into the orange halves and keep in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.

4 – Just before serving, whip the chilled cream with the icing sugar, orange liqueur, and cinnamon. Garnish each orange half with cream and enjoy with a chilled glass of Calda.
